We went to Ellie's monthly cardiologist appointment today and did a few tests. The Cardiologist said that Ellie's pulmonary blood pressure hadn't lowered any. I guess a normal baby would have a pulmonary blood pressure of 20 to 30, and someone with Ellie's condition would have a bp of 40, but Ellie's is around 90. So, she said we should send her to Primary Children's Hospital this week for a sedated echocardiogram to get more accurate results. Then she would meet with the surgeons and decided on a date. She told us to plan on the surgery before the end of the year. We are hoping sooner than later. It's looking unlikely that we will be in Lethbridge for Christmas. That was dissappointing, but it will be nice to get this surgery taken care of, instead of waiting for months and months.
Ellie has grown quite a bit. When she was born, she was 6lbs 7oz, now 10 weeks later, she is 10lbs 3 oz. not too bad. This will help with getting better results with her surgery.
