Ellie is still in the CICU but she got moved to a different room earlier on today. This is good news because she is going to be with a nurse who has to take care of 2 patients at the same time which means she is getting better and that she does not need the one-on-one care.
Ellie must have been worn out from all the socializing she did yesterday. Anytime someone was there visiting her, she was awake the whole time, almost like she didn't want to miss out on anything. So, as a result, today she was asleep most of the time we were there with her. Not very many changes today - back up on her high flow cannula which is not surprising since they weaned her so much yesterday, chest tube is still draining but so far it is significantly less. We hope this positive change will keep up and they will keep monitoring her until mid-week to see if she has to go back to surgery. The flolan gets turned down a notch every 16 hours so she should be completely weaned by Thursday if all goes well.
